Spiritual Development
Bible Studies
We offer free childcare, brunch fellowship, Bible Study, video teaching, and prayer. There are three studies to choose from:
Joy in the Morning, an interdenominational women's Bible study, meets Wednesday mornings 9:00-11:00 a.m. throughout the school year.
Fire By Night meets Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Child care is available. Contact Mary Holdahl (668-9647) with questions and to register.
Mid-Day Meal meets Wednesdays at noon. Contact Deb Stevens (664-8743) for more information.
Mentoring
A Woman-to-Woman mentoring program is in place. Please contact Pam Cooke (664-3249) for more information.
Secret Sister Ministry
The Secret Sister Ministry is a great chance to uphold your Christian sister in prayer throughout the year and encourage her with notes or small gifts for her birthday, anniversary, holidays, or just because!
YOU WILL BE PRAYED FOR AND ENCOURAGED, TOO!
You will be given an opportunity to sign up for this ministry in April each year. Secret Sisters are assigned and revealed in May. Watch for more details in the spring.
Showers
Ladies of all ages are encouraged to attend Bridal / Baby Showers throughout the year. We have the privilege of hosting showers for upcoming brides as well as for first time mothers. If you know of an upcoming wedding or a new baby on the way, please contact Erin Schuster (665-7160) to arrange a shower.
Special Events
You are welcome to join the Calvary Baptist women for fun and fellowship as they meet for special events throughout the year. Look in the bulletin, the monthly "Chronicle" and quarterly "Women's Walk" for details.
Special events will also take place in October and January.
Service Ministries
Kitchen Ministry
The "kitchen circles" are an important ministry at Calvary . The main purpose of this group is to furnish and serve food for dessert fellowships, funerals, Vacation Bible School , and other special functions. If you're new to the church and would like to help in this ministry, please contact Dawn Herron (664-0395) or the church office (665-5594).
Meal Ministry
Meals are provided for families during times of stress, such as a death in the family, birth of a baby, or illness. Please contact coordinator Deb Stevens (664-8743) if you are interested in occasionally providing a meal.
Quilting Ministry
Quilting group meets at 7:00 p.m. the third Thursday of each month. Quilts are made and distributed in our community as the need arises. For more information contact Dee Chabane (665-2173).
