Our Purpose

Connecting 7th-12th graders to Jesus and each other so that they will grow in their passion for Him as His obedient disciples.

Why We Do That
We do it because real life, real joy, and real satisfaction can only be experienced through a saving faith in Jesus Christ. The world that teenagers live in today is complex, confusing, and usually self-centered rather than Christ-centered. As a youth ministry team, we want to come alongside parents and students to help you make sense of that world and equip you to change it for the glory of God.

How We Do That
We communicate the gospel:
  • The gospel of Jesus Christ is consistently proclaimed in a relevant way at both youth group and Sunday School.
  • Youth Group meets on Wednesday Nights during the school year with Grades 7-8 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Grades 9-12 from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Youth group at Calvary is about connecting students to Christ and each other to grow.  It’s all about Jesus.  On Wednesday nights, we’ll worship God together through singing and drama, get some life-applicable Biblical teaching, and connect with others in small groups. We want youth group to be a safe place for students to have a great time as they seek to know God and make Him known.
  • Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m.
We provide opportunities for fellowship and service together.
Growth comes not just from hearing the word but from doing it, from living it out together. From summer camps to winter retreats and conferences to mission trips, we seek to connect students to Christ and give students opportunities to express their faith through service. Our JH small groups and HS life groups will also be doing a service activity once a month.

We model the life of a disciple.
  • Our team is made up of people who love Jesus and love students. Our hope is that the students learn much of how to live as a disciple by simply "doing life" with us.
  • We recognize that you as parents will have the greatest influence on your children so we pray that you will also model that faith in Christ in your home.
We equip others for the life of ministry.

  • Communicating with parents through a newsletter, meetings, and personal contact
  • Training and discipling adult leaders to grow in Jesus and lead youth.
