Stephen Ministers give one-to one, gender specific Christian care to those who are going through a difficult time in their life journey.  The difficulty may be caused by loss...death, marriage, another relationship, job, health...or other reasons.  The Stephen Minister will meet with the care receiver on a weekly basis at a mutually agreed upon time and place for an hour.  They will continue to meet as long as both individuals feel there is benefit in doing so.  Stephen Ministers are not professionals.  They are committed, competent, compassionate, caring Christians who want God to use them to provide encouragement, support, spiritual nurture and healing to a brother or sister in Christ who is in pain.  The two individuals share the confidence that God will bring healing as they journey together under God’s leading as they both utilize his resources.
